MSU BILLINGS NEWS SERVICES — This week, MSU Billings is joining institutions from across the nation to celebrate the presence and experiences of first-generation college students.

First-Generation Week is a nationwide effort to recognize students, faculty, and staff who are the first in their families to attend college. This initiative is held in partnership with the American Association of Colleges and Universities and the Council for Opportunity in Education.

Specially designed stickers and posters for first-generation college students were distributed today on MSUB University and City College campuses at the following locations: Student Union Building, New Student Services, Financial Aid, Student Support Services/TRiO, Veterans Upward Bound/TRiO, Disability Support Services, the Academic Support Center, and the Native American Achievement Center.

If you are a first-generation college student, please pick up and wear a sticker tomorrow.

First-generation college students are also being recognized as part of tomorrow’s “Progressive” Open House from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Get details here. Be sure to join in tomorrow.
