MSU BILLINGS NEWS SERVICES — Montana State University Billings art student Shannon Renskers will display her senior capstone exhibition, titled Imagine That, in the Student Gallery with an opening reception on Monday, Feb. 24, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. The reception is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served.

The body of work employs bright, vivid watercolor paintings as well as a high-level contrast in lithograph prints.

"The series confronts society’s relationship with reality and the imagination of children," Renskers says.

The Montana native of the Big Timber area, Renskers will graduate in May with a Bachelor’s of Art degree with a minor in history. She intends to pursue her Master’s of Fine Art following graduation.

The MSU Billings Art Department will present Renskers' capstone in the Student Gallery on the first floor of the Liberal Arts building on the university’s four-year campus Feb. 24 through March 14. The gallery is open during regular semester hours, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
