MSU BILLINGS NEWS SERVICES — For the second consecutive year, Montana State University Billings graduated another large class this past Saturday, May 4, 2013.  The university’s 86th commencement at Metra Park’s Rimrock Auto Arena showcased the first graduating class from City College at MSU Billings.  This academic year the Montana University System changed the names of all Colleges of Technology in the state.  The change was made in order to better develop two-year education for Montanans.

MSU Billings conferred degrees on 958 candidates for associate’s degrees, bachelor degrees and master degrees at graduation for the 2012-13 academic year, according to Dr. Cheryl Johannes, university registrar.

An urban university with five colleges, MSU Billings is located in the state’s largest city — the regional hub for business, industry, communications and health care. MSU Billings offers unique advantages, including real-world education through on-the-job internships in hundreds of careers.

With an enrollment of more than 5,000 students, MSU Billings is able to provide students individual attention and award-winning professors, while offering about 80 academic options ranging from two-year programs to a variety of master’s degree options. The university also continues to be Montana’s leader in online education.
