MSU BILLINGS NEWS SERVICES — An emeritus faculty member at Montana State University Billings and two friends will present a jazz concert next week to help raise money for student scholarships.

On Tuesday, April 20, the MSU Billings Department of Music presents the benefit jazz trio concert led by longtime faculty member Dr. Gary Behm. Behm will be joined by pianist John Alexander and bassist Mark Bryan for the concert.

The concert is at 7:30 p.m. in Cisel Recital Hall on the MSU Billings main campus. Admission is $6 for adults and $3 for students.

All three men are well-known Billings musicians who have performed extensively throughout the area and Montana. Their concert will consist of a mixture of standards, jazz standards and Brazilian works. All proceeds will go to student scholarships.

Behm has been a member of the MSU Billings music faculty for 30 years. During his tenure in the department, he has consistently supported scholarship funding for music students. It is his intent in performing this concert to continue student scholarship support.
