Student Employment

We are looking for a correspondent to report on health and wellness issues facing students. If you're outgoing, enthusiastic, and a good communicator, this could be the ideal on-campus internship to gain experience and build your resume!

The Campus Correspondent will interview students about the health and wellness issues on everyone's mind...helping to learn how students handle stress, stay active, eat well, manage academics, social issues, and much more. The Campus Correspondent will also partake in promotion of Student Health 101- from putting up flyers around campus to tabling events throughout the academic year.

The student will dedicate an additional seven hours for promoting the magazine to his or her peers. Promotional efforts include hanging flyers, tabling for Student Health 101 on both campuses, light social media outreach for the magazine, and attending student group meetings throughout the academic year to introduce Student Health 101.
Video Recording Responsibilities include (5 hours):

  • Selecting a health and wellness topic for student interviews monthly
  • Reviewing topical past articles and providing a summary of what you learned
  • Video recording 6-12 student interviews on the predetermined topic
  • Video recording an introduction of yourself

Upon completing the internship, you'll receive a letter of recommendation and be able to add the position as a significant accomplishment on your resume.
