Annually, MSU Billings awards more than 1.5 million dollars in scholarships. Many of these scholarships will be awarded to Montana freshmen through the MSUB Promise program. MSU Billings and the MSU Billings Foundation have made a commitment to early applicants from Montana high schools to guarantee scholarship support based on their academic achievement.

To qualify, students must meet the following requirements:

  • Graduate from a Montana high school or equivalent in the current academic year.
  • Have at least a 3.0 high school GPA at the time of the application for admission.

To be considered for scholarships through the MSUB Promise program, students must complete the following steps:

  • Submit an application for admission and be accepted to MSUB.  Funding is limited and will be awarded on a first-come, first-serve basis, so students are encouraged to apply as early as possible!
  • Complete a general scholarship application by the priority date of December 1, 2016. If students apply for admission later, and funds are still available, they may submit the scholarship application through February 1, 2017.

Funding amounts are listed below and based on total tuition cost and differ based on tuition rates at each campus.
