Lifetime Learning Credit

The Lifetime Learning Credit is an IRS law that allows people to take a tax credit (not a deduction) on their annual taxes, for more information visit the official IRS website or speak with your tax preparer. The University will update and issue a 1098-T form each January with the previous years qualified tuition and fees and the applicable financial aid (scholarships, grants, etc.) that were awarded.  Students will receive the 1098-T notice by the elected choice either electronically or through the mail in late January.

Parent & Family Programs advises you to seek help from a professional tax accountant for a better understanding of the law or credit.

Student Housing

The Montana State University Billings Office of Housing & Residence Life provides a variety of services and amenities for students who are interested in living on campus.

Security

MSU Billings offers safety and security 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. University police offers utilize a Community Policing approach, which allows them to uphold local, state, and federal laws while providing an array of services to the campus.

Athletics

Athletics is a cornerstone of student involvement at MSUB. With over 300 athletes we hope you will visit the athletics webpage to learn more about upcoming NCAA contests and athletic events. All full time students get into athletic events free of charge.

Family Education Right To Privacy Act
