You can find your NetID in the Claim/Recover Your NetID tool by following the steps below. For assistance please contact the IT Service Desk at 406-247-5755. 

1) Go to the Claim/Recover Your NetID tool.

2) Enter your MSU ID. This will be a dash and 8 digits. (Example: -12345678) and click the Submit button.

Note: If you don't know your MSU ID, click the "I don't know my MSU ID" link. Next, follow the steps below the Don't Know Your MSU ID heading.

Enter Your MSU ID.

3) Enter your birthday in the following format: 07/21/1996 including the slashes and click the Submit button.

4) Your NetID will now be displayed.

Dont Know Your MSU ID?

1) If you don't know your MSU ID, click the "I don't know my MSU ID" link on the Claim/Recover Your NetID page.

Click the I don't know my MSU ID link.

2) Enter your Last Name and the last 4 digits of your social security number and click the Submit button.

Enter your last name and social security number.

 

3) Enter your birthday in the following format: 07/21/1996 including the slashes and click the Submit button.

4) Your NetID will now be displayed.
