Your NetID or MSUB email address is commonly used as the username for logging into the various systems at MSUB. Click the links below to learn more about finding your NetID, MSUB email address, or resetting your password.

NetID

Your NetID is your unique identifier and looks similar to a12b345. Use your NetID when logging into a MSUB computer or connecting to the MSUB-mobile wireless network. If you don't know your NetID, you can find it via the NetID lookup tool.

Password Reset Portal

After finding your NetID, you'll need to set a password. Additionally, if you're having trouble logging into a system with your NetID, you can reset your password without the need to contact IT.

Duo

Duo provides two-factor authentication that uses an app on a mobile device, phone call, text message passcode, or security token to verify the person logging into your account is actually you. Duo is required for all students, faculty, and staff when logging into MSUB online resources.

MSU Billings Student Email

MSUB utilizes Microsoft Office 365 for the official MSUB email address. The MSUB email address can be used for many services as the username. Your MSU Billings email address consists of your FirstLastID + @msubillings.edu. This typically results in FirstName.LastName@msubillings.edu (joe.smith@msubillings.edu) but may include a number should another student have the same name.
