Artist Statement - About the Book

The calm and peaceful beauty of the mountains is especially inspirational to me. Many of my art pieces are landscapes with layers of hills, mountains, and clouds representing the many layers of life, of understanding, of friendship, of darkness and light. The light shining behind each layer illuminates opportunities just ahead showing us there is another layer to come.

Artist Statement

My perception of art is the conscious use of skill and creative imagination to produce a work for the purpose of expressing individual ideas and emotions with the intention of sharing those with others. Ideally, there would be a bond to the piece that would generate a degree of appreciation for the work and a curiosity and admiration for the artist. Art is a significant component of the human experience and should be part of everyday living.
