Interlibrary Loan Lending Policies
Lending MSU Billings Materials to Other Libraries
The staff of MSU-Billings Library are pleased to loan books and other circulating items to other libraries. Please send separate requests for multiple volumes/items. Charges may apply -- please see the Fee Schedule below. If you are a library who wants to request a MSU-Billings item, please call the ILL office to establish your account at 406-657-1666. Once your account is established, you can request items electronically through your online ILLiad account.

Articles and Chapters
MSU Billings will provide electronic, paper or fiche-to-fiche copies from journals, microforms, newspapers, books, and other sources to other libraries. Charges may apply -- please see Fee Schedule below.
We deliver electronically using Odyssey, or as a PDF attachment.
Copies/loans will be free to Montana libraries and those libraries who participate in LVIS, Freeshare, BCR/Amigos code signers, or any formal/informal reciprocal agreements.

Requests to borrow our Library materials may be submitted using the following methods:

The standard loan replacement is $75 minimum and is dependent on the actual replacement cost. We reserve the right to charge more for items valued at over $75. The cost to replace lost or damaged microfilm is $300 per reel. Borrowing libraries must agree to return microfilm via insured USPS mail or UPS with $300 per reel worth of insurance. We allow libraries to borrow a maximum of 3 reels.
