2017 MSU Billings Summer Programs for Youth
Kids on Campus: Students entering the 4th through 8th grades
I THINK Camps: Independent thinkers in 2nd through 12th grade
Young Scholars Summer Series: High school aged students entering 9th through 12th grade
MSUB’s Kids on Campus, I THINK Camps, and the Young Scholars Summer Series are fun, safe, educational ways for youth and young adults to spend the summer months.
Why choose a summer youth program for your child? Here are just a few reasons:
- Programs take place on MSUB main campus, MSUB Extended Campus (downtown), or at City College, so students experience what it’s like to be on a college campus.
- All of our summer programs are taught by K-12 educators or MSUB faculty members. They are highly qualified, professional educators who are experts in their fields.
- Each program is geared toward specific ages that are educationally relevant; they are academics-based, but fun, so your children continue learning throughout the summer.
Cancellations, Transfers, and Refunds
In the event that a course at MSUB Extended Campus does not meet the minimum number of participants, it will be canceled and participants will be called at least 5 (five) days prior to the start of the course. In the event a course is canceled, a full refund will be given or the fee can be transferred to pay for a different course.
If you must cancel your registration, you will receive a full refund if it is canceled 5 (five) business days prior to the start date of the program or course. After this date there will be no refunds. Cancellations can be emailed by using the email address email@example.com or by calling (406) 896-5890.
Please note there are three different ways to register for a course through Extended Campus: using our online system, calling us over the phone and giving us your credit card, or by coming in person to pay (by credit card or check). If you must cancel your registration or if we must cancel a course, your refund will be issued directly back on your credit card ONLY if you paid by credit card using our online registration system. If you call or come into our office to pay using a credit card or by check, we must issue a refund through the State of Montana which requires a completed W9 form (and you must provide your social security number). Please keep this in mind when registering for courses. If you have questions or problems using our online system, please contact us at either 406-896-5890 or firstname.lastname@example.org and we can help you.
We will have a scholarship fund again this year. Applications are due no later than May 22, 2017. To learn more and for an application, go here.
MSUB Extended Campus is pleased to offer scholarships for youth interested in attending summer programs. The summer scholarship program is available to students who can demonstrate financial need. It was established to assist young people with the desire to attend a summer camp at the University but whose families have limited financial resources.
Scholarships are for 70% of the camp tuition. Students are limited to one scholarship per summer. Students who are given scholarships, but do not attend their summer camp will be ineligible for future summer camp scholarships. If you are interested in donating to this Fund, please call Laura at 406-896-5882 or email email@example.com. Your gift is tax deductible.
