Trixy Phelan: Freshman Peer Mentor

Welcome to the Diversity Center! My name is Trixy Phelan and I am Native American of the Crow Tribe. I am currently pursuing post graduate courses to continue toward my goals of becoming a Certified Public Accountant as well as continuing to compete a Master's program. I am a working mother of two daughters. I enjoy being a peer mentor because I enjoy working with others and establishing a social network. I feel I will be an asset to MSUB students. Having a connection in the university system will make a prosperious difference student success. I hope to help new students to be more comfortable with the college lifestyle and help them experience succcess in their first year.

     
     

Dakota Flammang: Freshman Peer Mentor

I’m Dakota and I am a junior this year with a major in Rehabilitation and Related Services.  I am excited to be a peer mentor to gain new experience and to meet a group of new and wonderful people!  I am looking forward to what this next year has in store as I continue my college experience!

Daysi Bellota  

Daysi Bellota: Freshman Peer Mentor

I moved the United States in 2006 from Peru.  I have a degree in Language Education from Peru.  I am attending MSU Billings to continue my education and to earn my Master’s degree in Psychology.  I am excited to belong to this big family and to be part of the Diversity Center peer mentor team!  I look forward to helping new students and doing all I can to enhance their experience at MSUB.
     
     

Angelica Johnson: Freshman Peer Mentor

My name is Angelica Johnson.  I am a mother of 4 and a wife of 19 years!  I am majoring in Special Education with a minor in Spanish.  This is my first year with the Diversity Center and I‘m super excited to meet new faces and join in all the fun this year!

Clara Escutia: Transfer Student Peer Mentor

Being in the peer mentor program allows me to connect with transfer students as they learn to navigate college life at MSUB.  I enjoy working with people and helping others succeed.  I look forward to helping students grow socially and academically through all the opportunities that MSUB has to offer.
